Shipshape by Sydney believes that our environments strongly impact our wellbeing and life satisfaction. Through organization, we can help you feel more in control of your home, improve your productivity, and restore your calm so you can spend more time with loved ones.

Our Story

Shipshape by Sydney was started in 2019 from Sydney’s passion for all things organizational and a desire to help others feel in control and in love with their homes.

From a young age, Sydney always had a knack for staying organized. Growing up, she loved rearranging her room and finding better ways to organize as her style preferences and needs changed. After leaving her parent’s home, she continued to see how better organizing herself improved her life day-to-day and served as a fun creative outlet. She continued to make it a priority.

In college, Sydney was really interested in becoming a family/individual therapist and graduated with a Bachelor’s in psychology. After immersing herself in jobs within the therapy community, she decided that it wasn’t the right fit for her. Since then, Sydney has worked as a nanny, a property management leasing consultant, a data analyst, and as the office manager for a fitness-tech company. Although starkly different, all of these jobs required a high-level of organization and that’s the piece she consistently loved the most.

In 2019, after trying several career paths and feeling productive but unfulfilled, she read something that sparked the fire for Shipshape by Sydney. The advice was to think about what you like to do in your free time or after you come home from your day job and to turn that into a career. For Sydney, that was organizing and Shipshape by Sydney was born.

Since then, Shipshape by Sydney has organized over 70 spaces in homes across the Greater Seattle area and has helped over 60 individuals get organized...and we’re not stopping!

Hi! I’m so glad you’ve landed here. I’m Sydney, the face behind Shipshape by Sydney. From your consultation to the final reveal, I will be the one working with you.


Hiring someone to organize your things is a very personal experience, and it’s important to me that you hire someone you feel comfortable with. Let me tell you a little more about myself!

I am a PNW girl through and through. After growing up on Mercer Island and attending college in Washington state, I ended up back in the area and love living in Renton with my husband and our sassy three-legged catahoula leopard dog, Jaxon.


When I’m not organizing, you can find me on a run outside, playing board games with friends or family, or trying out new restaurants.

You can hire anyone to come into your home and organize your things but it might be in the way they would organize them in their own home. That is not the service that I offer. I have learned that there is no one way to organize spaces, and organizing is actually very personal. I work with clients to organize their spaces in line with their specific needs and wants.

My favorite part of my job is getting to know my clients and what’s important to them. I love people and by learning about what matters most to them, I get to create systems and solutions that embrace each individual and their values.
